1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use LinguaLex. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 13, you may not create an account or submit any personal data. We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we discover the user does not meet the age requirement.

2. The service

LinguaLex lets you collect vocabulary words and read short AI-generated dual-language stories built around that vocabulary. The service is provided as a web application. Telegram is used solely for optional one-tap authentication and optional reading reminders — you are not required to have a Telegram account to use LinguaLex.

LinguaLex is currently in invite-only pre-alpha. Features, pricing, and availability may change at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active users of significant changes.

3. Accounts and access

Access during pre-alpha is granted by invitation. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Telegram account (if used for authentication). You must not share your access or attempt to circumvent invite-only restrictions. We reserve the right to revoke access at any time, with or without notice, if these terms are violated.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service at scale.
• Use automated tools to generate stories for purposes other than your own personal language learning.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit generated story content.
• Upload vocabulary or content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or to LinguaLex's infrastructure.

5. AI-generated content

Stories are generated by large language models. Generated content is provided for personal language learning only. 4etverg does not guarantee the factual accuracy, grammatical correctness, or cultural appropriateness of generated text. You should not rely on generated stories as authoritative references for professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical purposes.

Your vocabulary words are sent to OpenAI to generate story content. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how that data is handled.

6. Intellectual property

All product UI, branding, copy, and software are owned by 4etverg and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Story content generated for your personal vocabulary is granted to you under a personal, non-transferable licence for non-commercial use only. You may not redistribute, republish, or sell generated stories as standalone content.

Your vocabulary data remains yours. We claim no ownership over words or phrases you add to the service.

7. Free tier and paid plans

A free tier is available with no time limit. Paid plans (Reader, Founder) are offered at prices stated at the time of purchase. Founder lifetime access is a one-time payment with no recurring fees. We reserve the right to adjust free-tier limits as the product develops. Active paid subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice before any reduction in their plan's feature set.

Refunds for paid plans are handled case-by-case. Contact support@lingualex.app within 14 days of purchase.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@lingualex.app. We will remove your data within 30 days of the request.

We may suspend or permanently revoke access to accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or attempt to harm the service or other users. In cases of serious violation, termination may be immediate and without prior notice.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

LinguaLex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from bugs, or that generated content will meet any particular standard of quality.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 4etverg's total liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50 — whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account (if provided) or via an in-app notice, at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
